South Korean smartphone maker Samsung may launch two foldable smartphones at its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event this month. The company has started pre-reservations for them in India. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 may both come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
Reservations for these smartphones can be made on the company’s website, Amazon, and Flipkart. A payment of 1,999 rupees will be required for this. Additionally, this option will also be available at Samsung’s exclusive stores and major retail outlets. Pre-ordering these devices will also offer a benefit of 5,000 rupees. Furthermore, the company is offering a 5% discount to those who purchase two or more products. The company’s Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on July 26 in Seoul, South Korea. It will be live-streamed on the company’s website and YouTube channel.
Recently, tipster SnoopyTech (@snoopytech) leaked the alleged specifications of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 through XDA Developers. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is seen with three colors and a hole-punch display design. Its design appears similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 4. It may have a vertical triple rear camera setup.
The dual SIM variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 may feature a 7.6-inch Full HD+ (1,812, 2,176 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED inner display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. It could run on Android 13. Its external screen could be a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED display (904 x 2,316 pixels) with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. It may offer storage options of 256 GB and 512 GB. The triple camera unit could include a 50-megapixel main camera. It may have a 4,400 mAh battery. Its dimensions are expected to be approximately 67.1 x 154.9 x 13.4 mm, with a weight of around 253 grams. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 may also support dual SIM. Its main display could be a 6.7-inch Full HD+ (1,080 x 2,640 pixels) display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. This smartphone’s external display could be 3.4 inches (748 x 720 pixels). It could be available in storage options of 256 GB and 512 GB.
