Sikandar Raza’s Heroics Propel Bulawayo Braves to Victory in Jim Afro T10 League Opener

New Delhi. The Jim Afro T10 League has begun. The first match was played between Harare Hurricanes and Bulawayo Braves. In this contest, with the help of captain Sikandar Raza’s outstanding batting, Bulawayo Braves won by 49 runs. Raza not only excelled in batting but also made an impact with his bowling.

Harare Hurricanes won the toss and chose to field first in this match. Bulawayo Braves put up a total of 128 runs on the board while batting. Sikandar Raza contributed 61 runs to this total. In his innings, Raza hit 4 fours and 5 sixes. Apart from Raza, Timycen Maruma scored a quick 12 runs. With a loss of 9 wickets, they made a total of 128 runs.

Even the star players of Harare, known for their exceptional talent, failed in this match. Wicketkeeper Robin Uthappa scored 0, captain Owen Morgan managed 7, and Donovan Ferreira could only make 2 runs. With the help of Mohammad Nabi’s 22 and Luke Jongwe’s 20 runs, Harare’s team could only score 79 runs. The result was that they lost the match by 49 runs.

Sikandar Raza wreaked havoc with his bowling as well. He took down three of Harare’s players. Raza first dismissed Irfan Pathan. After that, he got Tashinga Musakanda out on the very first ball. Following that, he also dismissed Nandre Burger for a duck. Raza was awarded the ‘Man of the Match’ for his splendid performance.
